Doherty's decision is pending
[source: NME.com] Pete Doherty will learn his fate on Tuesday after pleading guilty to drug charges in the summer.
The Babyshambles frontman has had a turbulent few months, which has already seen him make several appearances at West London Magistrate's Court.
Firstly, the singer pleaded guilty to possessing Class A drugs after being stopped by police in Kensington High Street back on Saturday 5 May.
Having admitted the charges, on that occasion (Tuesday 7 August) the judge decided to postpone his sentencing for a month.
Doherty was told he would be given a community or prison sentence, which would depend on his behaviour over August, and he was advised he would be sentenced on Tuesday 4 September.
Doherty made another visit to the Hammersmith court on Monday 27 August. Following Babyshambles' set at V Festival in Chelmsford, the singer was arrested again and police brought the singer to West London Magistrates Court, charging him with breaking his bail conditions.
However, Doherty was lucky as the officers failed to deliver him within 24 hours of his arrest and he was freed on a technicality.
A separate drugs arrest arising from that occasion will not be dealt with until Wednesday 31 October, when Doherty must reappear at Bethnal Green police station.
Tomorrow he finally learns whether he'll face a custodial sentence or be ordered to undergo community service.

The record was produced by Matt Bayles, who has worked with Mastodon and Blood Brothers in the past.
The album will contain 11 tracks, including recent single "Don't Be A Doctor". It is due to be released next year.

Supergrass member sleepwalks… and breaks back
Supergrass have been forced to cancel all upcoming dates after a sleepwalking incident turned dangerous.
Bassist Mick Quinn was holidaying in France when he woke up and fell from a first-floor window. Breaking two vertebrae in his spine, the somnambulist woke up in pain and is now recovering.
Luckily, according to the band's spokesperson, Quinn is set to recover nicely. The "I Should CoCo" rockers recently finished recording their as-yet-untitled sixth album, which was mixed by Nick Launay (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Silverchair) and is set for release in early 2008.

Jon Bon Jovi lays into Pete Doherty, Oasis and Robbie Williams
In a case dangerously close to the pot calling the kettle black, US singer Jon Bon Jovi – frontman of stadium rockers Bon Jovi – has lashed out at UK musicians in an upcoming issue of Glamour magazine.
According to the "Livin' On A Prayer" singer, neither Oasis nor Pete Docherty could "fill a bar".
"They're full of themselves," he said of the Manchester rockers, while Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty also got a serve.
"We're not familiar of anything other than his antics and the fact that he's always in trouble," Bon Jovi said.

Keyboardist shot to death in US
Jeffrey Carter Albrecht – the keyboardist for 80s one-hit wonders Edie Brickell & New Bohemians – was killed yesterday when he tried to kick in the door of his girlfriend's neighbour.
Believing a burglar was trying to break in, the neighbour used his firearm on the 34-year-old musician.
"He was at his girlfriend's house last night," Albrecht's flatmate said.
"For whatever reason, he knocked on the neighbour's door… I don't know if there was a verbal exchange, but the person panicked and fired a shot through the door."
Last year, Eddie Brickell & The New Bohemians released their first LP in 16 years, Stranger Things.

Madonna, Beach Boys the happiest artists of all time?
A London psychologist has devised a mathematical formula to gauge the most "feel-good" songs of all time.
According to the lecturer at Goldsmiths College, Dr Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic, the happiest song of all is "Wake Up Boo!" by shoegazing pop act the Boo Radleys.
Premuzic's formula is: "P + Pos + T + BPM + I S" (where P equals pitch, Pos equals the percentage of "positive lyrics", T equals tonality, BPM equals beats per minute, I equals "images/memories associated with the music" and S equals serotonin levels.)
"Film composers use music to intensify the mood of a scene to affect the viewer's emotions," he reckons, "and there is a formula to this."

The top ten feel-good songs, according to Premuzicm:

Boo Radleys – "Wake Up Boo!"
Beach Boys – "Good Vibrations"
Jackson 5 – "I Want You Back"
Beatles – "Here Comes The Sun"
Madonna – "Holiday"
Van Morrison – "Brown Eyed Girl"
The Foundations – "Build Me Up Buttercup"
Michael Jackson – "Wanna Be Starting Something"
John Paul Young – "Love Is In The Air"
The Darkness – "I Believe In A Thing Called Love"

First Gwen, now Beyoncé covers up
It's a significant problem when you're a flesh-bearing pop starlet: what do you do when you visit countries whose cultural and religious communities are markedly different than your own?
Last month, No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani was forced to cover up while touring Malaysia, and now Beyoncé Knowles is being called upon to do the same.
The "Independent Woman" is set to visit the largely Muslim country in November and, according to the New Straits Times, she's been asked to avoid the midriff outfits and hotpants.
Promoter Razlan Ahmad Razali said the concert will still take place but he admitted Beyoncé may need to take Stefani's lead. The platinum blonde donned leggings and jackets when onstage last month.

Billy Joel's wife not white enough for P Diddy
It's one of the biggest parties of the year for the Long Island summer community, but one star's partner wasn't allowed into Sean "Diddy" Combs' annual White Party on the weekend.
Usually held in St Tropez, P Diddy donned white sneakers with silver detailing, a white shirt and pants and gold bling at his star-studded event, which included guests such as Mariah Carey, Busta Rhymes, Donna Karan, Ashley Olsen, Star Jones and Tommy Lee.
But the wife of "Piano Man" Billy Joel, Katie Lee, was turned away when she showed up for the bash in a crème-coloured outfit.
"This party is up there with the top three that I've thrown," Combs told reporters. "It's a party that has legendary status. It's hard to throw a party that lives up to its legend."
