Oasis to hit studio this month
[source: NME.com] Oasis singer Liam Gallagher has revealed the band will commence work on a new studio album this month.
The rock giants release best-of compilation Stop The Clocks on November 20, but Gallagher is keen to begin on the follow-up to 2005's Don't Believe The Truth.
"I want to get this [Stop The Clocks] out of the f**king way. It's doing my head in," the singer told Uncut.
Stop The Clocks will mark the end of the band's deal with SonyBMG and the Oasis singer said he's looking forward on moving on.
"I reckon we're going to start doing something new this month [and] go to our studio. It's the bollocks. F**kin' old Tudor ranch in High Wycombe, f**king stay there and get it done. Just got to wait for Noel to finish his tunes, I suppose."

The Bravery to play secret shows
[source: NME.com] The Bravery will preview material from new album The Sun & The Moon at three tiny venues on America's east coast next week.
The band have just completed their second album and the shows will act as warm-up gigs for a larger South American tour later this month.
In a posting on The Bravery's website, singer Sam Endicott said five months without gigs has been "brutal" and the band can't wait to get back on the road. The Bravery will return to the US to play several "private" shows at the end of November, with limited tickets available to the public.

Britney files for divorce
Despite having two kids in as many years with husband, dancer and wannabe rapper Kevin Federline, pop queen Britney Spears has filed for divorce.
Court documents presented in Los Angeles yesterday claimed 24-year-old Spears is seeking custody of the pair's two children – one-year-old Sean Preston and two-month-old Jayden James – and cited "irreconcilable differences" for the split.
Spears and Federline married in September 2004, not long after the singer's first marriage to a former high school sweetheart in Las Vegas (which was annulled three days later). At the time, Federline had left his pregnant girlfriend, Shar Jackson, with whom he already has two children.
"We're going to be together for ever," Spears said in 2005 when asked about Federline's rumoured partying. "We know that, and that's the only thing that matters."

The Doors back in court
Legendary LA outfit The Doors (minus dead singer Jim Morrison, of course) are still fighting a court battle over the naming rights of the group. So far, drummer John Densmore has successfully prevented keyboardist Ray Manzarek and guitarist Robby Krieger from touring as The Doors Of The 21st Century.
Despite their differences, and with appeals well underway, the trio – individually, at least – are promoting new box-set Perception, due out Tuesday November 21, and a new book, The Doors By The Doors.
The book includes an interview with Jim Morrison's father (who's never spoken before about his son, and who sides with Densmore in court), while the box-set contains six CDs and six DVDs (complete with fresh footage).
"These things happen in a rock and roll band," Manzarek said of the group's legal wrangling. "If you stay together long enough in a rock and roll band, something will go wrong."
The Doors have sold almost 90 million albums since 1967's self-titled debut.

Artic Monkeys to go acoustic?
Arctic Monkeys have spoken of plans for their second LP, with frontman/songwriter Alex Turner revealing he's considering moving into acoustic territory.
"I can't stop writing songs, I don't know what else I'm going to do," he told a journalist last week, before warnings fans of the new direction.
"I've written quite a few slower ones – there's 13 or 14 songs, maybe a few more, in different states."
Domino Records boss Laurence Bell said the band's newest track, "Brain Storm", is "very bright and metallic" and will shock a few people.
