Wolfmother discuss new album
[source: NME.com] Wolfmother have begun work on the follow-up to last year's highly successful debut album.
Although the band have yet to enter the studio, they have revealed the title of a new song.
Frontman Andrew Stockdale said: "The working title is 'Love Attacker'. It's about people who use love as a weapon to manipulate and get their way through desire."
Stockdale said the band didn't expect to hit the recording studio for a few months.
"We do have a lot of jams, like incoherent pieces of music, that at least could get the ball rolling," he told MTV. "And I have a few ideas I've been working on in hotels and stuff, which is kind of the way half the record was written last time. Sometimes it can be a long process and sometimes it can happen really quickly."

Lily Allen to represent Nike
Heading to Australia in a fortnight for the Big Day Out, UK pop singer Lily Allen is reportedly considering becoming the new face of Nike.
Allen, who's well known for mixing dresses and trainers, has been speaking to the sportswear company about representing Nike in an upcoming British ad campaign.
"I wouldn't do things I think might jeopardise [people]," Allen told UK newspaper The Observer, admitting she's been sent lots of free gifts from the company.
"I wouldn't do Coca-Cola. But I really like Nike trainers. I'm quite open about the fact that it's like a guilty pleasure for me… even with the sweatshop aspect."

James Brown: not laid to rest?
Tomi Rae Hynie, the angry widow of James Brown, has appeared on US television in a tearful interview to protest the burial of the late performer. Hynie (who has a five-year-old son, James Brown II, by the singer) is furious at Brown's adult children. She accused them of allegedly digging up the singer's body, after first burying him without including her in the process. "They bury him and don't tell me. I read it in the paper the next day and when they find out in the news that I'm so upset about it, they get the body… and they exhumed it?" a tearful and somewhat incoherent Hynie pleaded on Entertainment Tonight.
"Then they pulled it back out and put in the funeral home because they found out that I was angry that I wasn't invited."
Hynie said Brown wanted to be placed in a mausoleum built on the grounds of his home in South Carolina, a claim disputed by his offspring (who, interestingly, also dispute the validity of her marriage).

Patti Smith turns 60
Legendary New York poet and performer Patti Smith celebrated her 60th birthday with news of her forthcoming induction into the USA's Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
The singer is currently finishing her first covers LP, which will feature tracks by Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, Nirvana, Neil Young and more.
"It has been a real adventure doing these songs," Smith told Billboard. "I've always wanted to do a cover record, but I didn't think I had the range. But now I feel on top of my game and ready to tackle a lot of different songs I thought had strong and relevant lyrics."
Also being inducted into the Hall Of Fame in 2007 is Van Halen, The Ronettes, Grandmaster Flash And The Furious Five and R.E.M..
Smith was especially pleased her friend and R.E.M. singer Michael Stipe would join her in the Hall Of Fame.
"It should happen when Michael [Stipe] and R.E.M. are inducted," Smith said, "because he's been such a good friend and supporter. I'm ready to play and sing with everybody. I want to make it the most communal and strong-spirited night possible."
