Tommy Lee: I'm not quitting Mötley Crüe
[source: NME.com] Following reports earlier this week that Tommy Lee was quitting Mötley Crüe, Lee has issued another statement retracting his resignation.
Initially it appeared the drummer would leave the band after a row over a lawsuit, but now it appears he wants to work things out.
"I am a founding member of Mötley Crüe," he said. "I have tried to meet with my bandmates repeatedly (without success) but have informed them I'm not walking away from my band of 25 years.
"It troubles me that the current legal issues that were filed by the corporations against my personal manager are separating us and causing more dysfunction. I hope we can work this out amongst ourselves."
Fellow Crüe members Mick Mars, Vince Neil and Nikki Sixx filed a lawsuit against Lee's manager, Carl Stubner, in a dispute over payments.

Eminem working on brand new album
[source: NME.com] Eminem has revealed he's been hard at work on new material.
The Detroit rapper made the revelations when he called New York hip-hop radio station Hot 97 during a 50 Cent interview on Tuesday 13 September.
Eminem said: "I'm always working, I'm always in the studio. It feels good right now, the energy of the label. For a while, I didn't want to go back to the studio… I went through some personal things. I'm coming out of those personal things [and] it feels good."

Madonna and Britney Spears face beheading threat
[source: NME.com] Madonna and Britney Spears have been targeted as spreaders of "Satanic culture".
The comments were launched by spokesman and senior leader of Palestinian terror group The Popular Resistance Committees, a group based in the Gaza Strip and responsible for the increase in shootings and bombings in the region.
Muhammad Abdel-Al attacks pop stars in new book Schmoozing With Terrorists: From Hollywood To The Holy Land Jihadists Reveal Their Global Plans – To A Jew!, labelling them "prostitutes".
"If I meet these whores I will have the honour – I repeat: I will have the honour – of being the first one to cut the heads off Madonna and Britney Spears if they keep spreading their satanic culture against Islam.
"If these two prostitutes keep doing what they are doing, we will punish them."
The comments have been made just as Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie prepare to celebrate the Jewish New Year with 2000 Kabbalah followers in Israel.

Prince sues You Tube over concert footage
Prince is suing web giant You Tube, demanding they ban concert footage taken by punters without artists' permission.
According to the Minneapolis star, he wants to "reclaim his art on the internet".
"Prince believes strongly that the music rights must remain with the artist," a spokesman for the singer said.
"Thus, copyrights should be protected across the board… There have been very few artists taking similar action to try and reclaim rights on their music and Prince has never been one to shy away from challenging the systems."
Prince is also looking to take on online auction house eBay, according to Web Sheriff John Giacobbi, who Prince has enlisted.
"We are not targeting fans who might want to sell their copy of Purple Rain," he said. "We are targeting companies in China manufacturing Prince handbags and selling them in their thousands. There is a distinction to be drawn there."

The return of Kylie
Kylie Minogue is set to make her official comeback in November, with the release of new single "2 Hearts" on Saturday 3 November.
Written and produced by London-based electro four-piece Kish Mauve, the track is the first taster from her new album, which will be released later that month.
According to Victoria Newton, a journalist at UK newspaper The Sun, the song is "a sure-fire number one, a classic Kylie song you won't stop humming".

Hook: New Order won't reform for anyone
Former Joy Division and New Order bassist Peter Hook is adamant New Order will not reform, although he hasn't completely ruled out a one-off performance in honour of recently deceased Factory Records owner Tony Wilson.
Wilson played a big role in Joy Division and New Order's careers but Hook insists there's no turning back after calling time on New Order earlier this year.
"The idea [to reform] has been mooted by Oliver Wilson [Tony's son]," Hook told the Manchester Evening News.
"That was when it was talked about. And the thing is, for Tony, I'd do anything."
People took Hook's word literally and the bassist was forced to address the reunion rumours on his MySpace page.
"This means I would sell the popcorn, take the tickets, sweep up after, or play bass in New Order/Joy Division/Crawling Chaos [for one gig]," he wrote.

Ministry frontman pens horror movie soundtrack
Fresh from working on new Ministry album The Last Sucker (due out next week), frontman Al Jourgensen is now tackling a horror movie soundtrack.
Jourgensen has revealed he'll score and produce the soundtrack for Wicked Lane, a film directed by Zach Passero and due for release in mid-2008.
"Zach is one of the most talented, driven young artists I've met in a long time," Jourgensen said. "We both have the same twisted penchant for dark humour, so it's a match made in horror hell – it's gonna be sick, heavy and gruesome."
