Bono is an oil painting
[source: NME.com] U2 frontman Bono will go under the hammer (in art format) next month, when an oil painting showing him receiving an honorary knighthood will be auctioned in Dublin.
The artwork, painted by Irish artist David Nolan, is expected to fetch as much as £2000 (AU$4,641) when it is put up for offer at James Adam auctioneers.
The painting is based on a photograph taken by Julien Behal, who captured the moment the frontman accepted the honour.
Bono was awarded the KBE medal in March in recognition of his contribution to music and his humanitarian work.

No kids yet, says Delta
With her self-titled new album due out later next month, Aussie star Delta Goodrem won't be becoming a mum anytime soon.
The 22-year-old singer lives in London with Westlife singer Brian McFadden, who she's been dating since he broke up with his ex-wife (former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona) in 2004.
According to McFadden – dad to daughters Molly, six, and Lilly-Sue, four – the couple have no plans to add to their brood.
"I think two are plenty for now," McFadden said. "With our careers it wouldn't be wise to have kids at this point. We need to keep working. Possibly further down the line, but we're not thinking about it."

Beastie Boys seek vocalists for The Mix-Up
Not content with the reception this year's The Mix-Up LP received, New York trio Beastie Boys are in the midst of planning a new version of the album that will feature a variety of guest singers.
The instrumental disc will be reworked, according to bassist Adam Yauch, who said the band are "talking to some different artists who might do remixes and put vocals on it".
"It wouldn't be us doing vocals. It would be kind of like a different version of the album, with a bunch of people guesting on it."
Apparently, M.I.A., Lily Allen and Pulp's Jarvis Cocker are all on the wishlist.
"It'll be interesting to see what they do with the stuff," Yauch said, before revealing plans for a visual interpretation as well.
"We've been travelling with a Super 8 camera," he revealed, "and while we were in Singapore we filmed stuff, as well as in Australia and different places. We're talking about cutting it together into a full-length film that kinda goes the length of the album."

George Michael to guest with Ricky Gervais?
British pop star George Michael – who recently spent time doing community service after a string of court appearances – is set to satirise his own private troubles on television when he makes an appearance on Ricky Gervais's Extras.
In the final Christmas show of the cult hit series, Michael is reportedly featured cruising London's Hampstead Heath, smoking cannabis and eating a kebab before bumping into Gervais's character and asking if there's any "action" going.
It'll be the first time the former Wham! singer has made fun of his troubles; in May this year, Michael was arrested in London, pleading guilty to driving while unfit after being discovered by police slumped in his car.

Earlier this year, the "Human Behaviour" singer headlined the massive Glastonbury Festival in the UK, which led The Guardian to write: "Fifteen years into her solo career, Björk remains the least compromising and most fantastical pop superstar extant."

Lenny Kravitz readies new album…
US singer Lenny Kravitz will release new album It Is Time For A Love Revolution in February.
According to the "Are You Gonna Go My Way" singer, the new disc covers a lot of ground.
"There are spiritual love songs, and social love songs, political, sad, happy and everything in between – it's about a lot of things," the 43-year-old rocker said.
While Kravitz ducked questions about whether he was or wasn't the mysterious man Nicole Kidman was engaged to before marrying Keith Urban, he was happy to talk about another woman in his life: his daughter Zoe. "She's a great human being and she knows what she wants to do with her life," Kravitz said.
"She's doing it in a very classy way and I'm very proud of her. I don't rule her life. I was put here to teach her what I know, and that's what parents should do, and I feel like she has good knowledge to make good choices. You don't have to be in the spotlight to have problems… it's really about how you handle it."
